Antique Mahogany Briwax is also known as Cherry

Just a reminder . . . the Briwax color Antique Mahogany is also known as Cherry. Antique Mahogany has a hint of red and is beautiful on cherry or mahogany woods – to highlight and bring out the natural reds in the wood.

If you think that you need to tone down the red color in the cherry or mahogany woods, you can always use Light Brown Briwax.

The choice is yours . . . do a good job!

Teak Briwax on a Cherry Wood Corbel

We wanted to share with you this beautiful corbel made from Cherry wood. The corbel has been finished using one of the newer colors of Briwax, Teak, as the only finish. The rich red tones of the Teak Briwax are a perfect partner for the red tones of the cherry wood.

We wanted the wax to gather in the crevasses to create and accentuate the shadows of the carving.

Remember, Briwax was the only finish used on this corbel.
